With the unexplained disappearance of Grand Witch Mabaa the witches are plotting and scheming against one another to replace her. The remnants of Arachnophobia, reorganized as the Heretic Cabal, seem to appear and vanish across the globe, abducting witches, Kishin Eggs, and Demon Weapons for profane, sadistic research. And a sudden resurgence of Kishin Eggs after almost five years of relative calm has Shibusen attempting to double enrollment just to keep up. Humanity has responded to all this by forming the Exorcists, an international military police force scouring the globe for potential Kishin Eggs and any trace of dark powers at work.
With faces old and new gathering on the battle lines, the world is poised for an inevitable conflict. And somewhere behind the scenes, a snake watches from the shadows...
